NFP, a New York City-based provider of employee benefits, property/casualty insurance, retirement and wealth management services, announced its acquisition of Hackett Valine & MacDonald Inc. (HVM)., an independent insurance agency in South Burlington, Vermont. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
HVM offers personal and commercial insurance services and employee benefits capabilities for companies in a range of industries.
HVM’s leadership team will remain in place, with Michael Walsh transitioning to managing director for NFP’s New England region, reporting to Terrence Scali, chief executive officer, NFP Property & Casualty. Timothy Ford will continue as director of sales, focused on employee benefits, and Richard Bazluke will serve as finance director.
