Corporate Synergies in New Jersey Announces 2 Appointments

Corporate Synergies, a property/casualty brokerage and employee benefits consulting firm based in Mount Laurel, New Jersey, hired Liisa Granfors-Hunt as director of account management.

In her new role, Granfors-Hunt will provide oversight of the account management team and will be responsible for client retention and strategic planning and consultation on employee benefit plans. She is based in the firm’s Bethesda, Maryland, regional office.

Prior to joining Corporate Synergies, she was senior employee benefits consultant for CBIZ Benefits & Insurance Services Inc. in Columbia, Maryland.

Corporate Synergies also announced the hiring of Melissa Hansen as director of account management. She is based in the firm’s Orlando, Florida, office.

Since 2005, Hansen has focused on employee benefits, and her background includes management of a substantial book of large national client accounts. Previously she was benefits consultant with Gallagher Benefits Services and Wells Fargo Insurance, where she managed large multi-state clients.

In her new role, Hansen will oversee various aspects of the client relationship in employee benefits services, including funding arrangements, strategic plan design, contribution strategies, account management, compliance, carrier relationships and risk management.
