Kaplansky Insurance, an independent agency based in Needham, Massachusetts, announced that it has acquired Doherty & White Insurance Agency in Quincy, Massachusetts. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Founded in 1983, Doherty & White Insurance Agency has been a family-owned and operated agency, offering insurance services for local residents and businesses.
Kaplansky Insurance provides personal and commercial insurance services through 11 locations in eastern and central Massachusetts, insuring approximately 24,000 clients.
Kaplansky Insurance was founded by President and CEO Ely Kaplansky in 1974. He said his agency continues to look for profitable, quality agencies for acquisitions. “We expect to continue to enhance our growth through both acquisitions and a strong focus on organic sales and marketing,” he said. Kaplansky Insurance has acquired 22 agencies since its inception.
