Andrew G. Gordon Insurance Inc., a Norwell, Mass., based insurance provider, and Atlantic Advisers Insurance Agency Inc., also of Norwell, Mass., have announced their merger.
The companies will combine to operate as Gordon Atlantic Insurance going forward. They will also operate a separate division, Gordon Atlantic Advisors LLC, to provide specialized risk assessment and risk management services for businesses.
This merger comes as the insurance industry has grown increasingly complex and competitive in the past decade, Geoff Gordon, who is set to serve as president of Gordon Atlantic Insurance, said in a company press release. It will allow both companies to provide clients with broader services and expand their resources and expertise to remain competitive in today’s environment, he added.
