What business is going to re-open knowing it is only a matter of time before they are sued by a customer or employee for COVID related damages when they have NO INSURANCE against those claims? I don’t believe there is liability coverage for communicable diseases in the standard BOP or CGL.
Until the politicians put a leash on the greedy lawyers, any recovery will be in jeopardy.

He FORCED nursing homes to accept COVID-19 positive patients, which eventually led to infection of otherwise un-infected regular nursing home patients and MANY more deaths of their residents than would have been the case. Do you call that ‘a better outcome’ than the alternative?! I call it an abhorrent trampling of personal freedom by a tyrant governor who failed to balance his state’s budget and properly prepare for disasters.
