WTW Adds 2 Surety Experts in Northeast

Broker WTW, headquartered in London, has made two leadership appointments to its North American Corporate Risk & Broking (CRB) surety business in the U.S.

Tom Rhatigan has been appointed Northeast senior director and commercial surety leader for CRB. Based in Short Hills, New Jersey, Rhatigan joins from Marsh, where he served as managing director and head of the Northeast surety practice. He brings 25 years of industry experience on both the underwriting and broking sides of the business.

Daniel Peck brings 15 years of experience to his new role at WTW as director and New England contract surety leader. He is based in Massachusetts and joins WTW from The Hartford, where he served as regional surety leader.

Arbella Insurance Foundation Appoints Jones

The Arbella Insurance Foundation, headquartered in Quincy, Massachusetts, has appointed Robin Jones as its new executive director, effective March 1. Jones will succeed Beverly Tangvik, who will retire on March 31.

Jones has 18 years of consulting experience and has led an independent consulting practice providing advisory and strategy services to a mix of nonprofit organizations and funders. Jones has also served as the director of marketing, communications and public affairs for the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children.

The Arbella Insurance Foundation partners with Arbella Insurance Group employees, independent insurance agents, and nonprofits to support local charities. In 2022, the foundation contributed $3.6 million to 623 charities. Since 2005, the foundation has donated more than $40.2 million.
