Nevada-based TeleMedica Insurance Management announced that AXA Courtage had agreed to underwrite “a TIM-branded family of worldwide medical insurance plans targeted to expatriates.”
The plan calls for the AXA Group subsidiary to also work with Paris-based global claims management service European Benefits Administrators in administering claims under the health care plan. AXA will also provide the use of its “Worldwide Assistance” network which operates 35 assistance centers in 35 countries, and arranges local medical services.
TIM is a subsidiary of COi Solutions, which specializes in “electronic business solutions for global organizations based on a ‘community of interest’ principle.” It builds different kinds of fully integrated networks for global business.
COi president Robert James praised the efforts of the team which has been at work on developing the global medical assistance plan over the last 10 months. “We see this collaboration between AXA, EBA and TIM as a tremendous endorsement of our e-healthcare strategy and our innovative approach to the provision of health insurance to expatriates,” said James.
