Zurich announced the promotion of Fabrice Brunet to branch manager in its Global Energy(R) business unit in Zurich. He will oversee all activities associated with the office, including account management activities, and will be particularly involved in the strengthening of customer and producer relationships in this market.
Brunet was formerly a residential risk engineer for Zurich’s Global Energy unit. He succeeds Peter Sengupta who has relocated to Zurich’s office in Sydney, Australia as international casualty manager for the business unit.
Prior to joining Zurich, Brunet worked at Sulzer Chemtech, first as an area sales manager. He subsequently took over responsibility for their oil & gas group. He began his professional career at Elf Aquitaine, where he held various engineering positions. He is a graduate of France’s Ecole Nationale Superieure de Techniques AvancĂ©es in Paris.
“We are excited to have Fabrice in this key role within the organization. His background in the energy industry, as well as his prior contributions to Zurich, will enable him to provide the leadership necessary to make an impact in the market. As we strengthen our customer relationships and identify opportunities that will differentiate our energy products and services from the competition, we will rely on Fabrice’s strategic input to identify products and services relevant to our diverse customer base,” commented Herman Nieuwenhuizen, chief marketing officer and manager, Branch Operations.
