Martin South officially took over as CEO of the UK operations of Marsh. As announced in December (See IJ web site Dec. 7, 2006), he will report to Alex Moczarski, Marsh CEO for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
He rejoins Marsh from his former position at Zurich Financial Services where he was CEO-International Businesses and a member of the Group Management Board since 2003.
South commented “Insurance broking has undergone a great deal of change since I left Marsh over 10 years ago. Clients expect much more than just a placement service, they expect us to be able to help them understand how risk affects their whole organisation and give advice tailored to their specific needs. I am very much looking forward to working with the talented team at Marsh to ensure that all our clients can benefit from the expertise we have accumulated and continue to build.”
