Willis Group Holdings announced that 10 members have joined Willis N², its new partnership with independent, community insurance brokers in the UK, since the network was launched six months ago.
Willis noted that “N² represents community brokers who control between £1 million [$1.534 million] and £2.5 million [$3.835 million] in annual premium. Willis also operates the larger Willis Commercial Network, which is made up of brokers placing annual premiums of between £4 million [$6.137 million] and £8 million [$12.274 million]. The Willis Commercial Network currently has 79 member brokers.
Willis listed the brokers who have joined its N² network since its April launch as follows:
Aspey Lawrence & Co Ltd.
Castle Insurance Services
Crompton Bailey Ltd.
David J Killen & Co (Insurance Services) Ltd.
Grampian Insurance Services Ltd.
Jeston Insurance Brokers Ltd.
John Hunter – Paterson Chartered Insurance Brokers
Renshaw Williams & Co Ltd.
3 Sixty Insure Ltd.
Whitman Gowdridge Insurance Brokers Ltd.
“Along with the Willis Commercial Network, Willis N2 is the UK’s only network set up and run by one of the world’s leading global brokers, providing access to all of Willis’ specialist expertise and services,” the bulletin explained. “Members of Willis N2 will be able to access the major insurers who work with the Willis Network. In addition, they will receive compliance and marketing support, together with managerial, technical and sales training.”
Mark Radburn, Managing Director, Willis Networks, commented: “Willis N² has attracted strong interest from start-up brokers and established brokers who value their independence and do not wish to be drawn into a consolidator. Willis N² allows these brokers to compete effectively with consolidators and enhance their commissions, while still retaining their community relationships.”
