Wildbore to Head New Willis Re Toronto Office

Willis Re, the reinsurance arm of Willis Group Holdings announced the establishment of a new office in Toronto, Canada. The office will open September 1, 2010 and will complement Willis Group’s existing presence in Toronto. Willis also has offices in Montreal, Vancouver and Calgary.

“Toronto is fast becoming the hub of the Canadian insurance industry, which has shown steady growth in recent years,” Willis noted. Robert M. Wildbore, currently Executive Director at Willis Re, has been appointed Executive Vice President and head of the new office. He will relocate from London to Toronto.

“Wildbore most recently has been responsible for the Group’s reinsurance business in the English-speaking Caribbean, working closely with Willis Re’s Miami office, which he helped establish in 1994,” said the announcement. “He began his career at Willis in 1982, working in various leadership roles in reinsurance claims and accounting.”

Robert is ideally suited to lead the office thanks to his extensive experience advising our clients on the structuring and placement of their reinsurance protections.”

The new Willis Re office will be located at 145 King Street West, Suite 1200, Toronto, Ontario, M5H 1J8, Canada.
