Zurich Financial Services Group announced that “after 18 years of dedicated service to Zurich, its employees, its shareholders and its customers, John Amore will be retiring effective December 31, 2010.” He most recently served as Senior Advisor and a member of the Group Executive Committee.
CEO Martin Senn commented: “John has been an invaluable contributor to Zurich’s successful transformation. He laid a sound foundation for the further development of the General Insurance function. I want to thank him for his many contributions, dedicated work and his loyalty to the Group over so many years.”
Amore joined Zurich North America in 1992. He became a member of the Group Executive Committee in 2001 and CEO of the General Insurance segment in 2004, a post he held until July of this year when he assumed his current role as Senior Advisor.
