International marine insurance specialist broker, Junge & Co, has rebranded its reinsurance broking operations as “Cooper Gay Germany.”
Both Cooper Gay and Junge are part of the global independent wholesale & reinsurance broker, Cooper Gay Swett & Crawford, which was formed earlier this year when the two brokers merged.
The bulletin said the name change would “drive cooperation within the Group’s European network and maximize the benefits, particularly for its German clients.
“The Cooper Gay Germany team, led by Peter Schwabe, places all lines of facultative and treaty reinsurance. The Hamburg-based team gives clients access to a global network of experts, whilst offering specific regional market know-how, including actuarial services such as dynamic financial analysis (DFA).”
Schwabe commented: “Identifying the division as Cooper Gay Germany differentiates our specialist reinsurance capabilities from the Marine-focused Junge brand. Cooper Gay’s established reputation in the global reinsurance arena compliments our team’s extensive domestic and European expertise to strengthen our offering on an international level.”
