BrokersLink, an independent insurance broker alliance, has appointed Paul Bitner as Latin America chief operating officer as it seeks to expand its presence in the region.
Bitner joins BrokersLink from Aon where he was a managing director with responsibilities in Latin America and large clients. He previously worked for Johnson & Higgins and Alexander & Alexander.
Since starting his insurance career in 1981, Bitner has also held key positions relating to Latin America and has handled insurance programs for the region’s major companies such as the Panama Canal Authority and Cemex.
In his new role Bitner will be the key BrokersLink contact for Latin America reporting to BrokersLink CEO Len Battifarano. His responsibilities will include strategic initiatives, product and business development.
