Willis Appoints Capurro to Lead UK Utilities Practice

Willis Group Holdings UK branch announced that Robert Capurro has been appointed leader of the Utilities Practice within its Risk Solutions division, effective immediately. He is based in London, and reports to Paul Chetwynd-Talbot, National Practices Leader for Willis UK & Ireland (WUKI).

“The UK Utilities Practice works very closely with Willis’ Global Markets Power and Utilities Practice, led by Graham Knight, in respect of conventional power business and renewable energy, where Knight’s team carries out the necessary risk management and transactional broking activities into the global markets and provides specialist renewable energy expertise to WUKI clients,” said the announcement..

“Capurro will focus on growing WUKI’s business with the water, waste, power, onshore renewable energy and gas distribution industries. His practice will provide these utilities with risk management strategies which include corporate governance, environmental and weather exposures and regulatory concerns.

“Capurro’s team services major UK clients within the remit of Risk Solutions as well as providing input and support across the Utilities sector for smaller utility clients that are handled by Willis’ UK network of 30 regional offices.

“Capurro joins Willis from JLT where he served as a partner in the Energy & Marine division and new business leader for the Energy team for two years. Capurro also previously held senior management roles at Aon and Mabey & Johnson.”
