The ACE Group of insurance and reinsurance companies has appointed Farid Eid Filho as Country President for ACE Brazil. He will be in charge of leading the company’s Brazilian operations including all property and casualty and accident and health insurance lines, reporting to Jorge Luis Cazar, Regional President of ACE Latin America.
Eid has more than 27 years of experience in the Brazilian insurance market. He joins ACE from Alfa Seguradora, where he served since 1998 as Statutory Director, responsible for creating new products and distribution channels. From 1986 to 1997, he worked at American International Group in Engineering and Personal Lines.
Previously, he was Commercial Director in Cia. Real Brasileira de Seguros, where he was in charge of product distribution. Eid began his insurance career at Generali do Brasil in its Engineering division. He holds a degree in Civil Engineering from Mackenzie University in Sao Paulo.
Cazar noted Eid’s “significant industry experience, strategic thinking and strong decision-making skills,” adding that he “will make him a great asset to our company. We are confident that he will continue the expansion and development of our business in the important and fast-growing market in Brazil.”
