Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. announced that it has acquired a 78.5 percent interest in Insurance Dialogue Limited (IDL) of Bournemouth, England.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Gallagher explained that IDL, trading under the brand Insure4Retirement, “is a retail insurance broker providing personal lines insurance for their clients primarily in the U.K. that are over 50 years of age.” It specializes in “a full spectrum of personal insurance coverage within the homeowner and automobile markets.”
In addition Gallagher said Managing Director, David Holden and his colleagues would “continue to operate out of their current location under the direction of David Ross, CEO of Gallagher’s London-based international brokerage operation.”
