Gazançon Named AXA ART Chief Operations Officer

Global art insurance specialist AXA ART announced the appointment of Jean Gazançon as Chief Operations Officer. He has also been appointed as a member of the Executive Management Board of AXA ART Versicherung AG.

Gazançon has oversight responsibilities “for AXA ART’s global Operations, Risk Control, IT as well as for the company’s businesses in the UK, Asia, France, Benelux and the Middle East,” said the announcement.

“Prior to his appointment to AXA ART Gazançon held executive level management positions across AXA Group, serving in Directorship roles in London, Japan, Hong Kong and inter alia.

“In his most recent role, he served as General Secretary of the AXA Group’s operations in the Mediterranean/Latin American Regions, with stewardship and geographical scope covering AXA Seguros (Spain), AXA Seguros (Portugal), AXA Seguros (Mexico), AXA Assicurazioni (Italy), AXA MPS (Italy), AXA Insurance (Greece), AXA Sigorta (Turkey), AXA Gulf (Barhain), AXA Cooperative (KSA), AXA Osiguranje (Serbia) and AXA Algeria.”

The bulletin explained that Gazançon specializes in “executive management of intercultural teams in finance and insurance, program and transformation management, strategic review and internal control, sales and distribution management.”

He holds a Master in economics and finance with honors from IEP Paris and a Post Graduate degree in finance and accounting from PARIS II University. He is French, but also “commands daily business practice of English, Spanish and Mandarin.”
