CTC Insurance Management (Bermuda) Ltd, a subsidiary of Charles Taylor plc, has announced that William Wood has joined the company as Chief Operating Officer. He will oversee the delivery of management and consulting services to the company’s insurance, reinsurance, captives and segregated cell clients.
Wood has more than 20 years of experience in the Bermuda insurance and reinsurance market, and “brings a wealth of financial management and analytical experience. He worked most recently for Nissan Global Reinsurance Ltd. as treasurer & controller. Previous to that, he was vice president of corporate development for XL Capital Ltd.”
Wood also served as vice president for Centre Solutions (Bermuda) Ltd. and prior to that, spent six years in captive management with major international broking groups.
CTC’s CEO Andy McComb welcomed Wood to the company, indicating that “he brings significant knowledge of our industry to the organization as well as to our clients. He will be an excellent leader of our Bermuda team.”
Wood earned a Bachelor of Science (Honours) Mathematics degree from the University of Bath, U.K. in 1988. He became an Associate Chartered Accountant (ICAEW) in 1991 and earned his Associate in Reinsurance and Associate in Risk Management designations from the Insurance Institute of America in 2010.
