Simon Schofield, chartered mechanical engineer and power generation expert has joined RSA, one of the largest U.K. commercial insurers, as a risk engineering consultant, within its Global Consulting division.
Schofield joins from RWE npower to complement RSA’s team of risk management experts and will report to Jonathan Salter, director of RSA Global Consulting.
He joins RSA Global Consulting’s in-house team of over 50 industry experts working globally to help customers reduce and eliminate losses and will be responsible for both the power industry sector and general loss prevention.
Schofield has over 17 years’ experience in the energy industry, working for generation companies and contractors in a number of design, build, commissioning, operational and maintenance roles.
He has also held a number of management and international roles including long-term secondments to European combined-cycle gas turbine plants and management of engineering risk studies and operations and maintenance instruction.
