UK-based Allianz Engineering has appointed Steve Kelly as senior technical manager.
In his new role, Kelly will be responsible for delivering profitable growth by overseeing the development of Allianz’s engineering propositions as well as supporting the continued growth of underwriting and pricing capabilities, the company said in a statement.
Kelly, who worked at RSA for 25 years, most recently held the position of construction, engineering and renewable energy director. During his time at RSA, he was involved in the creation of the renewable energy division, including taking the lead in the center of excellence for bioenergy and solar risks.
“I am delighted to welcome Steve to Allianz. Steve is a well-known figure in the engineering space and brings with him a wealth of experience developed over 25 years in the industry,” said Claire White, underwriting account manager, Allianz Engineering, a division of Guildford, England-based Allianz Insurance, which is part of Allianz SE Group.
“His appointment is a great step forward as we continue to build a strong team with the technical expertise to support our customers and deliver the relevant solutions to the market to reach our ambitious growth target,” she continued.
