Guy Carpenter & Co. has appointed of Matthias Meyenhofer as managing director to lead the firm’s Global Partners client segment for EMEA.
He will be responsible for improving and expanding the range of services provided to large clients across the region. Based in Zurich, he will report to Eric Paire, head of Strategic Advisory and Global Partners. The appointment is effective immediately.
Meyenhofer joins Guy Carpenter from the ACE Group, where he was division president of ACE Tempest Re Zurich and responsible for all treaty non-life business underwritten from Zurich. In addition, he was an executive board member of ACE Reinsurance Switzerland Limited. Prior to this, Meyenhofer was vice president and reinsurance treaty underwriter at AXIS Capital, which he joined in 2004.
Commenting on the appointment, Paire said: “Matthias’s wide-ranging European experience perfectly matches the scope of our large EMEA-based clients, and coupled with his underwriter’s perspective will help us to develop even greater insight into the extensive range of services they require from a reinsurance broker.”
