Newline Group, part of Odyssey Re Holdings Corp., announced appointments to its leadership team based in Singapore.
Rachel Flynn has been named the principal officer for Newline Asia and Susan Chew has been appointed chief underwriting officer.
Flynn joined Newline Group in 2014 as claims manager and underwriting counsel. In this new position she is now responsible for Newline’s operations in Singapore as well as overseeing local regulatory issues.
Chew has been with Newline since the Singapore office was first established in 2007. As chief underwriting officer, she will broaden her focus from general liability and medical malpractice to now include financial lines while also directing the overall underwriting strategy for Newline within Asia.
“The breadth and depth of Newline’s talent is clearly evident with these internal appointments,” said Carl Overy, CEO, Newline Group. “Both Rachel and Susan have demonstrated expertise and leadership in their respective roles and we are eager for them to drive Newline forward and continue the company’s growth in Asia.”
