Neon announced it has appointed Dwayne Hunt to the role of senior vice president – Property Insurance, in Neon’s Bermuda office.
Neon said it opened a Bermuda office earlier this year to provide greater access to both the local and U.S. markets as the company expands its international footprint.
Hunt joins Neon, effective Dec. 1, from his current role as senior vice president & property manager at Chubb Bermuda where he holds shared underwriting responsibility for their mature excess global property book of business. Prior to Chubb, Dwayne held underwriting roles at both Arch Insurance and XL Insurance in Bermuda, focusing on the North American property market.
With over 20 years of experience of the market, Hunt will bring a wealth of expertise to Neon Bermuda, the company said in a statement. “His extensive client and broker relationships mean that he will play a crucial role in supporting the expansion of the Bermuda platform and international growth of the Neon business,” Neon said.
Neon Bermuda, opened in June 2016 and led by Chris Fisher, focuses on writing direct and facultative property insurance on a global basis as an approved coverholder for Neon. Neon said it is committed to hiring further local talent and anticipates additional hires and new product lines as the office expands. With Dwayne’s hire, Neon Bermuda will now employ four Bermudians in the local office.
