This edition of International People Moves details appointments at Mosaic Insurance and BMS Re.

A summary of these new hires follows here.

BHSI’s Dilley to Lead Financial Institutions at Mosaic Insurance

Specialist underwriter Tom Dilley has joined Mosaic Insurance to lead the company’s global financial institutions division.

Tom Dilley

Based in London, Dilley has been appointed SVP, Head of Financial Institutions, taking overall responsibility for the unit launched and guided by Chris Brown through the company’s first year. Brown will now focus entirely on his leadership role driving Mosaic’s syndicated capital program, working closely with a growing number of commercial partners to provide capacity to clients in specialty lines around the world.

Dilley has more than 16 years’ experience in the global financial institutions market, bringing a wealth of established broker and client relationships. Previously, he oversaw the UK FI sphere at Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance, building a market-leading business. He also spent 12 years with ACE (now Chubb), latterly overseeing the product line in the UK and Ireland.

Financial institutions coverage is among Mosaic’s six specialty lines, each selected for their high technical barriers to entry and relevance to current and projected global market conditions. Other units include cybersecurity, political risk, political violence, transactional liability, and professional liability.
