Aon Promotes Shukri as UK Reinsurance Client Services Leader
Insurance broker Aon plc announced that Mehmet Shukri has been appointed head of UK Client Services for Aon’s Reinsurance Solutions, effective immediately.
He previously served as the deputy head of UK Claims and Client Services for Aon’s Reinsurance Solutions.

Based in London and reporting to Steve Clark, global head of claims and client services advocacy, Shukri will accelerate client value in line with the firm’s global Reinsurance Solutions advocacy proposition, ensuring all Aon clients receive expert claims support.

Blenheim Underwriting Taps Stratton-Thomsett From MS Amlin as Casualty Underwriter
Blenheim Underwriting, the Lloyd’s managing agent and subsidiary of White Bear Capital, announced the appointment of Alex Stratton-Thomsett as casualty underwriter, effective Jan. 8, 2026.

In his new role, Stratton-Thomsett will join David Barber, senior casualty underwriter, in the build out of the MGA casualty account.
Stratton-Thomsett brings with him 25 years of experience and expertise in the casualty market, joining from MS Amlin, where he was lead underwriter, U.S. casualty. The role reunites him with Barber after a successful 14 years together at Chaucer.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Alex to the team, marking a significant step forward in the expansion of our casualty MGA book and making it one of the stronger units in this specialist marketplace,” commented Barber. “It’s another endorsement of our independent structure, which continues to attract top-tier underwriting talent, that can sometimes get lost in larger organizations.”
