Lockton Re Taps Le Flufy From Gallagher Re as Global Head of Cyber

Lockton Re, the reinsurance business of independent insurance broker Lockton, has appointed Ed Le Flufy in a new role as global head of Cyber. He will be based in Lockton Re’s London office working with clients and colleagues across the globe.

Le Flufy is currently a leading cyber broking executive at Gallagher Re, having joined Capsicum Re’s nascent cyber business in 2018. Previous to that he held reinsurance broking roles at BMS Re for eight years.

He is expected to join the business once he has completed his obligations to his current employer.

Marsh McLennan Promotes McGowan as Chief Commercial Officer, Int’l

Marsh McLennan, the New York-based professional services firm, announced the appointment of Renee McGowan as chief commercial officer, International.

Effective October 1, 2025, McGowan will report to Flavio Piccolomini, CEO, Marsh McLennan, International, and Hans van Heukelum, global chief commercial officer, Marsh McLennan.

McGowan will continue to serve as CEO of Marsh McLennan India, Middle East, and Africa (IMEA) until early 2026, when she will relocate to Europe.

In her new role, McGowan will lead the strategic development and execution of Marsh McLennan’s commercial strategy across the International business, which encompasses Asia, Europe, IMEA, Latin America and the Caribbean, Pacific, and the UK. She will focus on strengthening and expanding client relationships across Marsh McLennan’s four businesses – Marsh, Guy Carpenter, Mercer, and Oliver Wyman – as well as fostering innovative and tailored client solutions in diverse markets across the six regions.

McGowan joined Marsh McLennan in 2001 as an international employee benefit consultant with Mercer in London. Over the course her career, McGowan has held a series of senior leadership positions in key growth markets for Mercer, including Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, New York, and the United Arab Emirates.

She was appointed to her current role as CEO, Marsh McLennan, IMEA in 2023 and has overall responsibility for growth and innovation for greater client impact in the region.
