IQUW Taps Gregory From Munich Re as Underwriter in London Reinsurance Team
Specialty insurer and reinsurer IQUW announced the appointment of Alex Gregory as senior underwriter, Specialty Reinsurance, in London.

Gregory brings a deep understanding of the reinsurance landscape, joining IQUW from Munich Re Specialty, with a proven record across terrorism and political violence specialty lines. In his new role, Gregory will build innovative reinsurance solutions, leveraging data insights and strengthening relationships with brokers. He will report to Dan Warburg, IQUW Head of Reinsurance, London.
In addition, IQUW has promoted Chris Parkes, Gregor Lockhart-Smith and Sabina Ahmad to new underwriting positions within the Reinsurance team, which the company said, reinforces its ability to nurture, recognize and retain high-potential talent.
It was announced on Oct. 29 that Starr has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire IQUW Group. The transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2026, subject to regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions.

The Fidelis Partnership Appoints Dlugosch From Swiss Re as Group Head of Aviation
The Fidelis Partnership (TFP), the Bermuda-based managing general underwriter, announced the appointment of Oliver Dlugosch as group head of Aviation.

Dlugosch brings over 25 years of underwriting experience in commercial insurance and reinsurance, specializing in aviation with a particular focus on major risks, general aviation and space. He joins TFP following almost two decades at Swiss Re, where he held a number of senior underwriting positions, most recently head of Aerospace for Swiss Re Corporate Solutions.
Dlugosch began his career at GE Insurance Solutions in 1997, later serving as its head of Aviation Direct Airlines & Manufacturers.
Dlugosch has a global track record of underwriting leadership, having spearheaded teams from London, Munich, Zurich, the US, Australia and New Zealand. In June 2025, he completed a two-year term as president of the International Union of Aerospace Insurers (IUAI), having served on the IUAI’s Executive Council for more than 10 years.
At TFP, Dlugosch will report to Richard Coulson and is responsible for driving the continued growth of TFP’s leading specialty offering across aviation and space. He joins in December and will be based in London.
