People Moves: Rousseau Named Head of International at Marsh Re; Lockton Hires Tatola as Head of Specialties, Canada

Marsh announced Laurent Rousseau as head of international, Marsh Re, effective immediately.

Rousseau is based in London and will continue to report to Dean Klisura, president and CEO, Marsh Re.

In this newly expanded role, Rousseau will lead Marsh Re’s Asia, Pacific, Latin America and Caribbean regions in addition to Europe and IMEA. He will also continue to lead capital and advisory globally. Rousseau will partner with Marsh Re’s regional leaders to deliver the firm’s capabilities to clients in this complex risk environment.

Prior to joining the firm, Rousseau was CEO of French reinsurer SCOR, where he spent 13 years in leadership roles of increasing responsibility. He started his career as an insurance equity research associate at Credit Suisse First Boston before moving to JP Morgan’s Mergers & Acquisitions Financial Institutions Group in London.

Lockton announced the appointment of Nicki Tatola as head of specialties for Canada, joining Lockton’s growing, locally led Canadian leadership team.

Tatola will lead the development of Lockton’s national specialty insurance and risk advisory capabilities, ensuring Canadian clients across key industry sectors benefit from specialized market expertise. Central to her role will be building the Canadian specialties ecosystem, an integrated framework aligning Lockton’s technical practice groups with market solutions to deliver custom capacity and policy structures for clients, providing them with long-term value. She will also direct the ongoing development of Lockton’s talent, industry propositions and domain expertise across the country.

Tatola has nearly 25 years of commercial insurance experience across Canada, specifically in complex placements, portfolio placement strategies and national practice management. Throughout her career, she has held senior national and regional leadership roles directing commercial brokerage teams at major global firms. Tatola began her career as a personal lines claims adjuster before transitioning into commercial brokerage.
