An agreement was reached between Western Agricultural Insurance Company, an affiliate of FBL Financial Group Inc., and Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company Inc. (Kansas) to offer FBMI products to the property-casualty industry.
In another move, Western Agricultural also worked a deal with Utica Mutual Insurance Company and its affiliates, to reinsure the in-force and renewal commercial business written for members in the Kansas Farm Bureau by Utica.
Western Agricultural Insurance Company presently provides nonstandard auto insurance in 15 states, along with personal and commercial insurance in Arizona.
Part of the deal had FBL Financial Group bring on 23 former Utica employees to move along this business. Those employees will work out of FBL’s Manhattan, Kansas regional office.
