Copart, Inc. announced that it has opened its second auction facility in the state of Missouri in the southeast section of Springfield along Interstate 60.
Willis J. Johnson, Copart’s CEO stated that, “The new facility will allow us to better serve our suppliers in the southern Missouri area. Previously this area was served by our Kansas City and St. Louis facilities which are over three hours away.”
Copart provides vehicle suppliers, primarily insurance companies, with a full range of services to process and sell salvage vehicles through auctions, principally to licensed vehicle dismantlers, rebuilders, repair licensees and used vehicle dealers.
With the addition of the new site Copart now has 98 locations in 40 states. The announcement indicated that, “Since August 2001, Copart has added 14 locations including four MAG sites in New Castle, DE; Greencastle, PA; West Mifflin, PA and Richmond, VA and ten Copart salvage sites in Savannah, GA; Tifton, GA; Charleston, WV; Lyman, ME; Tucson, AZ; Somerville, NJ; Haslet, TX; Amarillo, TX; Reno, NV and Springfield, MO.”
