Ace Westchester Specialty Group, a division of Ace USA Inc., has announced the opening of its new Chicago casualty office. The office, at 525 W. Monroe St., will underwrite primary general liability umbrella and high excess business.
Admitted and surplus lines business will be conducted through Westchester Specialty Group —appointed wholesalers in the Midwest. The Chicago facility is ACE Westchester Specialty Group’s fourth office, joining operations located in New York, Atlanta and San Francisco.
Eric Koppang has been named vice president for ACE Westchester Specialty Group and will manage the Chicago office. Koppang has 15 years of casualty underwriting experience, including nine years in excess and surplus lines. He most recently served as vice president of casualty for ACE Westchester Specialty Group’s New York office.
