Fargo, N.D.-based insurer Community First Insurance Inc. has acquired the Summit Insurance Group, located in Frisco, Colo., with offices in Leadville and Vail.
“This purchase marks our 17th insurance acquisition since 2000,” said Mark Anderson, Community First’s president and CEO. “Insurance revenues increased 13 percent in the first half of 2003, compared to the same period in 2002, due to core growth as well as acquisitions. As a compelling area of growth, insurance services remain a key element within our solutions-based approach. We continue to seek opportunities to acquire additional insurance agencies that complement our delivery model and geographic footprint.”
Community First’s insurance agencies provide a broad selection of insurance products in 52 locations serving communities in Colorado, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah and Wyoming.
Community First Insurance Inc. is an affiliate of Community First Bankshares, a $5.6 billion financial services company, which provides a complete line of banking, investment, insurance, mortgage and trust products to individuals and businesses.
