Peoria, Ill.-based RLI Corp. has promoted Piyush K. Singh to chief information officer.
RLI President and CEO Jonathan E. Michael said that Singh has played a significant role in leading the growth of RLI’s information technology department.
Singh joined RLI in 1994 from the financial services sector of Price Waterhouse (now PriceWaterhouseCoopers), where he was a part of the management consulting services group. Singh’s prior experience includes working with Australia and New Zealand Bank, as well as with Citicorp as part of its information technology consulting units. He also worked on several financial services projects in the United Kingdom, Greece, Australia, Singapore, the Middle East and India. He was promoted to RLI assistant vice president in 1998, and to vice president, information technology, in 2000.
Singh has a master’s degree in computer applications from University of Delhi and a master’s of business administration in finance from Bradley University.
