Accident Fund Names First Policyholder of the Year for 2005

The Christman Company was named Accident Fund Insurance Company of America’s first “Policyholder of the Year” during the company’s annual all employee meeting at the Lansing Center on January 26, 2006.

Christman President & CEO Steve Roznowski and Senior Vice President and Safety Director Jay Smith received the award in front of 600 cheering Accident Fund employees. Presenting the award for Accident Fund were President & CEO Liz Haar and Claims Vice President Jim Dillon.

“Out of Accident Fund’s 45,000 policyholders, The Christman Company has demonstrated that, when it comes to safety, they set the standard for excellence,” said Dillon. “There’s only one way for a company to achieve a safety milestone like this — a comprehensive commitment of time, resources and training.”

A long-time Accident Fund policyholder, The Christman Company was also recognized in September 2005 by the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration with a Consultation Education and Training Division Gold Award for its outstanding safety record. At that time, the company had logged an unprecedented number of hours, 2.1 million hours, without a lost-time due to accidents.

As of January 31, 2006, The Christman Company’s total number of hours without a lost-time accident has exceeded 2,231,800 accumulated over a nine-year period.
