The Michigan Association of Insurance Agents (MAIA) recently announced that it had signed an agreement to join the SeaPass Multi-Carrier Hub™ platform, as a commercial lines tool for independent agents for real-time quotes, proposals and issuance of policies for their customers.
Agents enrolled with SeaPass use the Hub as a comparative rater for submitting commercial insurance applications processed directly from their agency management systems. In one transaction, agents get a valid quote and proposal for multiple lines of business in real-time.
MAIA member agents can subscribe to the SeaPass Hub for 10 percent less than if agents subscribed directly without an MAIA membership.
“I’m delighted that our Association will be working with SeaPass in this new venture,” said Dale Simmon, chairman of the MAIA Agents Assistance Corp.. “I’m convinced that agents will save time and money while using this product.”
To be a member of MAIA, an insurance agency must be licensed to sell property and casualty insurance in Michigan, representing at least one independent property and casualty company. Also, the agency must be available to represent other independent insurance companies.
The Michigan Association of Insurance Agents is a statewide trade organization that represents approximately 10,000 independent agents and industry employees.
