The Springfield-based Professional Independent Insurance Agents of Illinois has unveiled a new name. The statewide group will now be known as the Independent Insurance Agents of Illinois (IIA of IL)
It has also implemented a new logo and kicking off a yearlong re-branding
campaign.
When the Independent Insurance Agents of Illinois (IIAI) and the
Professional Insurance Agents (PIA) merged associations in 1993, the new group took the name Professional Independent Insurance Agents of Illinois.
The membership is comprised of 1,500 insurance agencies representing 12,000 licensed independent agents.
The group is affiliated with the national Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America.
