Indianapolis, Ind.-based property/casualty and employee benefit agency MJ Insurance announced it has formed a Human Resource Consulting Division. Citing federal health care reform, understaffed and overwhelmed HR managers in a broad array of industry sectors, MJ Insurance CEO Mike Bill determined now was the time to launch the new HR division.
MJ Insurance will offer a broad and complex menu of services specific to the HR needs of its clients. The consulting practice will include leadership coaching, training initiatives, risk mitigation, policy and procedure development as well as time and resource saving best practices.
To lead the consulting practice, MJ Insurance hired Mellissa Boggs, an industry veteran with nearly two decades of HR experience. Boggs started with MJ Insurance in January and has an impressive background in developing and implementing human resource strategies for a mix of industries.
Jon Loftin, president of MJ Insurance, said clients have increasingly been asking for such value-added HR services.
MJ Insurance was founded in 1964 and has offices in Indiana and Arizona. It was recently named No. 78 on Insurance Journal list of the top 100 privately-held agencies in the United States.
