Tynesia Dorsey has been named chief administrative officer at the Ohio Insurance Department.
Dorsey’s duties include overseeing the operations of the fiscal, human resources, information and technology, consumer affairs divisions, and the Ohio Senior Health Insurance Information Program (OSHIIP).
Dorsey joined the department in November 1998 as a personnel officer. She was named head of human resources in January 2008 and directed such activities as personnel issues, benefits, payroll, labor relations, management of the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Americans with Disability Act (ADA), and employee trainings.
Dorsey is an active member of the Labor Relations Advisory Council and the National Public Employer Labor Relations Association. Prior to joining the department, she was a personnel officer at the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections.
