Accident Fund Insurance Company of America has partnered with Olivet College, a mid-Michigan based college, to create the Certified Authority on Workers’ Compensation (CAWC) program.
This program offers a unique perspective on workers’ compensation, combining business acumen with key educational training, for an innovative and unique learning experience.
This designation was specifically created for agents and producers to broaden their knowledge of workers’ compensation, while building the skills needed to better sell the many benefits of this particular line of insurance.
The 20-hour program consists of live classes on topics such as:
- Workers’ Compensation Fundamentals
- Ethics
- Experience Modification Factors
- Alternative Work Comp Programs
- Loss Control
- Claims and Return-to-Work
- Fraud
- Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act (LHWCA)
- Classification and Rating of Workers’ Compensation
The next CAWC session will be offered at Accident Fund National Headquarters, 200 N. Grand Ave., in Lansing, Mich., Sept. 17 – 19, 2013.
