The Norman-Spencer Agency Inc., a national property/casualty insurance provider, announced it raised over $55,000 through a 5K run, golf outing, and silent auction dinner held on Sept. 16, 2013, in Dayton, Ohio, for the March of Dimes.
Norman-Spencer employees and carrier partners from all across the country participated in raising money in the company’s first 5k walk/run and 30th Annual Norman-Spencer Golf Classic.
Sports memorabilia signed by NFL legend Joe Namath was popular at the silent auction dinner banquet which also included four round-trip airfare vouchers and two tickets to the 2014 NCAA Final Four. Several of Namath’s former teammates participated in the Norman-Spencer Golf Classic held at the Yankee Trace Golf Course, including Greg Buttle, John Schmitt, Emerson Boozer and Bob Crable.
Brian Norman, president of Norman-Spencer Agency Inc., said the group exceeded its goal of raising $50,000 and thanked the employees and partners who contributed to the effort.
The Norman-Spencer fundraiser supports the March for Babies research and programs that help moms have full-term pregnancies and babies begin healthy lives. In addition, funds will be used to bring comfort and information to families with a baby in newborn intensive care.
