Fidelis Group Holdings LLC (FGH) and its subsidiary, Continental Underwriters Ltd., a have formed an ocean cargo division and named Doug Fischer and Crystal Prout as managing directors of the unit.
The new ocean cargo division will be based out of FGH’s Chicago office.
Combined, Fischer and Prout have more than 45 years of maritime underwriting experience.
The new Ocean Cargo division will be underwritten through FGH’s long-standing relationship with Houston Casualty Company, a subsidiary of HCC Insurance Holdings Inc., rated A+ (Superior) XV by A.M. Best.
The FGH cargo group will underwrite a comprehensive ocean cargo portfolio on an international level.
Fidelis Group Holdings LLC is headquartered in Covington, La.
