John Paul, president/treasurer of Western Iowa Mutual Insurance in Council Bluffs, Iowa, was presented the Chairman’s Award by the National Association of Mutual Insurance Company’s at its 120th Annual Convention in San Diego.
The award was created to recognize leadership, accomplishment, and outstanding service to the association and the property/casualty insurance industry.
A former NAMIC Political Action Committee chairman, Paul has continued his support at the highest level and continues to engage others. He was named NAMIC’s Professional Farm Mutual Manager of the Year in 2014.
He is also a strong community leader having served on various boards at the local, state, and national levels. His community involvement includes the Southwest Iowa Educational Foundation, Council Bluffs Chamber Agriculture Committee, 4-H Committee, and the Selective Service.
He is the current president/director for the Mutual Insurance Association of Iowa, for which he has served on several of its committees, including Executive, Program, Audit, Planning, Resolutions, and Public Relations, and is currently a member of the Legislative Committee.
