Valley Insurance Agency Alliance (VIAA), a network of nearly 100 independent agencies in Missouri and Southern Illinois, recently added Cordes Insurance Agency in Shelbyville, Ill.
Cordes Insurance Agency, owned by Mark Cordes and Angie Durbin, is a full-service insurance agency that specializes in home, auto, commercial, farm, life and health insurance.
Founded in 2006, VIAA is located at 7745 Carondelet Ave. in Clayton, Mo. The alliance generates more than $125 million in written premium and is the regional founding member in Missouri and Southern Illinois for the Strategic Insurance Agency Alliance (SIAA).
