Burns & Wilcox Brokerage has appointed industry veteran Adrian Smith and a team of three specialty insurance brokers to enhance its brokerage capabilities in Chicago.
Smith joins the Chicago office as senior vice president. He will report directly to Denis Brady, president of Burns & Wilcox Brokerage.
Smith brings more than 20 years of specialty insurance experience, an extensive background in casualty brokerage and strong industry relationships.
He is joined by a team of property/casualty brokerage specialists, including Steve Bartell, Jody Oster and Erich Steinhaus.
Together, the four-person team brings more than 60 years of excess and surplus (E&S) brokerage experience to the office.
They will focus on the continued development offerings in a variety of specialties including commercial construction, energy and environmental service contractors, complex products liability, residential real estate development, and transportation and heavy wheels business with high-risk characteristics.
