Cincinnati Financial Corp. announced that Charles P. (Bud) Stoneburner II, senior vice president – commercial lines for its lead subsidiary, Cincinnati Insurance Co., will retire within the next six months. Upon his retirement, Stephen M. Spray, senior vice president, head the company’s commercial lines operation.
Stoneburner joined the company in 1980 as a field claims representative serving agents and policyholders in Northern Virginia. He shifted his focus to underwriting in 2008, taking the lead of the company’s commercial lines operation.
Spray will begin to manage day-to-day operations of the commercial lines department on October 1. Stoneburner will continue in an executive role until his retirement.
