Universal Property & Casualty Insurance Co. (Universal Property), a subsidiary of Universal Insurance Holdings Inc., has entered the market for homeowners insurance in Illinois.
The company is now offering homeowners insurance in 18 states. Universal Property policies may be purchased through independent agents or directly through the Universal Property online distribution channel Universal DirectSM, the company said.
Florida-based Universal Insurance Holdings (UVE) is a holding company offering property/casualty insurance and value-added insurance services.
