Ryan Specialty Group LLC (RSG), based in Chicago, has added John Zern as president and chief executive officer of Ryan Specialty Benefits.
Zern will lead the development of Ryan Specialty Benefits, which focuses on wholesale benefits brokerage and managing general underwriting capabilities to serve the needs of the retail brokerage community.
Zern has extensive employee benefits and insurance experience. He served as CEO, Global Health Solutions & CEO, North America: Commercial Risk and Health Solutions for Aon. For more than 30 years, Zern has advised clients on health and risk strategies working closely with insurance leaders to build innovative solutions addressing some of the biggest challenges facing employers.
Founded in 2010, Ryan Specialty Group LLC is an international specialty insurance organization, which offers wholesale brokerage services, delegated underwriting expertise in the form of binding authorities, programs, and highly specialized managing general underwriting companies, and other services designed specifically for brokers, agents and insurers.
