DOXA Insurance Holdings Names Joe Guerrero as President

DOXA Insurance Holdings named Joe Guerrero as its president.

Guerrero has more than 30 years of experience in the insurance industry specific to MGAs, MGUs, and Affinity. He will join DOXA’s executive management team and be responsible for overseeing investments and deploying resources necessary to support DOXA’s strategic initiatives. This will allow the broader DOXA management team to continue its focus on acquisitions, integrations, and back-office operations.

Fort Wayne, Indiana-based DOXA is a Midwest-domiciled holding company that acquires specialty niche-focused insurance distribution companies such as Managing General Agencies, Wholesale Brokers, and Program Administrators.

Alera Group Names Monica Evans as Senior Vice President and Director of Property & Casualty Solutions

Deerfield, Illinois-based Alera Group hired Monica Evans as senior vice president and director of property & casualty solutions, effective May 16, 2022.

In this new role, reporting to Alera Group’s Executive Vice President and P/C Practice Leader, Mark Englert, Evans will be responsible for the development, implementation, and management of best practices and solutions for Alera Group’s P/C client service platform.

Evans brings more than 30 years of experience in the insurance industry. She most recently served as EVP, client service leader for business insurance at Marsh McLennan Agency, where she also started her career as a casualty account executive in Marsh’s risk management department.

Evans also worked at Willis for a decade where she built and managed the client service platform for the property and casualty department in their New York office. The team, under her management, was charged with managing the service delivery to clients and maintaining a high client retention rate. Evans was also the New York Metro region commercial lines leader at Wells Fargo Insurance Services, where she built a world-class client service platform over several offices.
