Hooda Appointed to Alera Group’s Board of Directors

Alera Group, headquartered in Deerfield, Illinois, appointed Sheila Hooda to the company’s Board of Directors.

Hooda has over 30 years of global leadership experience. She is also the CEO of Alpha Advisory Partners, providing strategic advisory services on technology, digital, financial, market and regulatory disruption. She previously served as an independent board director and chair of the audit committee at ScION Tech Growth I and II and as an independent board director and chair of the risk committee at Mutual of Omaha Insurance Company.

Powers Insurance & Risk Management Hires Blankenship

Powers Insurance and Risk Management, headquartered in St. Louis, hired Mike Blankenship as commercial lines account manager. Blankenship manages all aspects of existing clients’ renewal and policy coverage and assists with new business and sales prospects.

Blankenship has nearly 10 years of insurance experience, most recently as an account manager at USI Insurance Services. He previously worked as senior account manager at Brush Creek Partners and as an account manager at Lockton Affinity.
